Castle Feminism Society (FemSoc)

Castle Feminist is an intersectional, inclusive and welcoming group which focuses on issues surrounding gender equality within and beyond Durham. We run discussions, events and talks on a regular basis, and will be introducing a newsletter with book, article and media recommendations this year. We hope to create a non-judgemental and empowering environment so that we can also help those less fortunate than ourselves by working with charities and other groups within Durham

Make sure to stop by at the Freshers Fair, can’t wait to meet you all!

Love, FemSoc x

President: Rosie Bell – rosie.a.bell@durham.ac.uk

Hi, my name is Rosie and I’m a 4th year Liberal Arts student. I’m back in Durham after a year abroad drinking wine and buying baguettes in Paris. Feminism is a part of everyday life, and I want to make sure the society is fun and approachable whilst also tackling real issues facing women, and how they are affecting us and everyone around us. Can’t wait to meet everyone, don’t hesitate to get in touch! My inbox is always open xx
