University College Netball Club (UCNC)

Welcome to UCNC – whether you are an active member or a social one, we have plenty to offer. We have 3 teams (A, B and C) of mixed ability, so whether you’ve played before or not, there is something for all to get involved in. We train once a week at Maiden Castle which involves warming up together and then training in teams with captains running drills and game play, followed by matches on the weekend against other colleges. As well as this, an equally important part of UCNC is our socials which allow all teams and years to integrate, getting you involved in Castle’s large college network. Come along and get involved!

Presidents: Saffron Gill (saffron.gill@durham.ac.uk) and Susie Norrish (susanna.r.norrish@durham.ac.uk)

I’m Saffron, co-president with Susie. We’re both third year- I study Geography and Susie studies psychology. UCNC has played a huge part in our Castle experience since being freshers and we can’t wait for more people to get involved. Team bonding takes place both on and off the pitch and from training to socials, no matter your netball abilities, it’s a great way to get involved in castle sport.
