University College Tennis Club

Whether you have a chance of holding the next Wimbledon title, or you are simply there for the strawberries and cream, UCLTC might be the club for you! We mainly train in the summer term with 1-2 training sessions a week to prepare for intercollegiate matches. However, we do run a couple of sessions in the first two terms which is dependent on the unpredictable Durham weather!

Players of all abilities are welcome to training and we would love to see as many of you as possible. This year, we are planning to have a few socials so keep your eyes peeled!

As President of Castle Tennis, I am more of a Pimms in one hand and tennis racket in the other kind of player. But in all seriousness, I have found playing tennis at Castle a great way to get to know different people from other year groups and to have a break from university life, especially in exam season. One of my main goals for the club this is to beat our college rivals in the infamous Castle Hatfield Day – we were robbed last year!

We look forward to seeing you on the court!
