Football (Men’s)

With over 140 members and four teams, Castle AFC remains the largest social and sports society in University College. With teams in low and high leagues, we account for all sporting abilities, with some members playing for Team Durham and others only picking up the sport for the first time.

Castle As and Bs, led by Luca Wills (Pictured on the Right) and Harry Gordon, respectively, maintain a competitive outlook to football. On the other hand, Castle Cs and Ds, led by Harry Burns and Samuel Ashley, promote a committed yet more relaxed environment for people who want to get into the sport for the first time or for those who have played before.

Off the pitch, Castle AFC is an esteemed part of Castle's social calendar. This year, our Social Sec, Max O'Sullivan, aims to carry this on, leading socials that have previously brought us closer together not only on the pitch but also as a college.
