International Committee

What does the committee do?

The International Committee ensures representation and support for international students, helping them adapt to life in the UK. The committee, led by the International President and in collaboration with the International Welfare Officer, plans and executes international freshers' week, oversees international activities within the college, and addresses the unique challenges faced by international students. The goal is to create a welcoming environment and offer continuous support throughout the academic year, aiming to hold at least one event per term.

How can I get involved?

  • Becoming part of the International Committee (will be published during the start of term).

  • Participating in the events and activities organised by the International Committee.

  • Getting in contact with the International President (Ellena, castle.internationalcommittee@durham.ac.uk) or International Welfare Officer (Vernice, shing.w.ng@durham.ac.uk) for opportunities to contribute to the planning and coordination of international activities.
