My name is Ellena (Elle) and I'm currently an international student from Malaysia and Castles International President. As the international president of Castle, my main responsibility is to ensure the well-being and representation of international students within our college.
I lead the International Committee, working with a great team, including the International Welfare Officer, international freshers' representatives (I-freps), and the Head Frep, to plan and execute events that are fun, informative, and helpful.
One of my main tasks is organising the international freshers' week. This is a time dedicated to welcoming new international students. During the preparatory week and Freshers' week, you'll see me actively participating as a frep and I-frep, making sure everything runs smoothly. Throughout the year, I also make sure we have an event per term so that international students have ongoing opportunities to connect, share experiences, and enjoy college life together. Whether it’s cultural celebrations, social gatherings, or support sessions, there's always something to look forward to.
Favourite Castle Memory: There's so many but off the top of my head it'll probably be both the June Balls and having a snowball fight on palace green. Frepping was also really fun and wholesome seeing freshers experience the same excitement being welcomed to Castle for the first time.
