Krishna Consciousness

Our society promotes spiritual well-being and provides a platform for students to explore and discuss Eastern philosophy, focusing on the teachings and literature of the Vedic tradition.
We hold weekly events, including hatha-yoga sessions, instruments and kirtan workshops, where we chant mantras with lively music, creating a fun and uplifting atmosphere. We also host sessions exploring different stages of meditation, including mantra meditation for spiritual growth. Additionally, we have catch-ups to discuss everyday topics and how Vedic scriptures help us understand who we are, where we are, how we interact with others, and how to deal with University and life's challenges.
Our members come from diverse religious backgrounds, and Vedic knowledge has helped us to improve our spiritual paths. Even those not particularly interested in spirituality, enjoy taking a break and connecting with other students in our peaceful and joyful environment.
We also travel to retreats at Bhaktivedanta Manor Temple in Watford, London, where other KCSocs from various UK universities gather, forming a vibrant network, and attend events at the ISKCON Temple in Newcastle.
Join us and become part of our welcoming and inclusive community!
